My name is Jade Stanton and I am the owner and creator of BPD Balance, a Borderline Personality Disorder Coaching and Consulting company.

A lot of people ask me what it is I actually do at BPD Balance, and what exactly is coaching?

Coaching is a rapidly growing field in today’s market, and that is because it is effective.  Clients are seeing the benefits of personalized and attentive assistance in reaching their goals and personal potentials.  Most people have heard of “life coaches” and everyone has heard of sports coaches like basketball or gymnastics coaches.  But fewer people realize how many leading businesses and organizations hire coaches for things like time management, stress management, work-life balance, and motivation.

At BPD Balance, we focus specifically on people with Borderline Personality Disorder or other mental illnesses.  Our clients include men and women of all ages who either have BPD or have a loved one with the disorder.  We help these clients understand the illness, the symptoms, and the learning behaviors that contribute to the life difficulties they frequently experience, including frequent and chaotic relationships, self-injury and suicidal ideation, and frequent mood swings and displays of anger.

When first entering one of our premier coaching packages, you are enrolled into regular coaching calls with a personal coach.  This coach will review your history, your habits, and your current situations at home, work, or school, and help you develop some basic goals.  Then you will be familiarized with our homework assignments, your daily monitoring sheets, how and when to contact your coach, and the overall idea behind the leading treatment for BPD, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which is the inspiration behind all of our coaching programs.

It’s important to understand the difference between coaching and professional mental health services like therapy and counseling.  Coaching is not meant to take the place of professional medical, psychiatric, and psychological treatment.  Instead, coaching is best used as extra tool or resource in your recovery process, working alongside you and your mental health team to generalize your learning to all of your everyday situations, reinforce positive behaviors, discuss potential harmful behaviors, and offer crisis support in between appointments.  We offer weekly, biweekly, and monthly coaching programs with hourly coaching calls, followed up by various assignments, homework, and resources for your best results, as well as options to add family sessions or sessions including your unique support system.  For clients who struggle with anxiety, we offer sessions by chat and phone, as well as video for our long-distance clients.  The progress we’ve seen in the individuals and families we’ve worked with has been more than encouraging.  Within weeks, they are learning to observe and describe their emotions and behaviors, use mindfulness skills to self-soothe and tolerate stress, and experiencing newfound self-esteem and hope.

If you have any questions about our program, you can send a message through this site, reach out to me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, or you can go to our Facebook page and hit the CALL NOW button to get in touch directly with me!  Your consultation is at no cost to you whatsoever.  BPD is an awful illness, and we need all the help and encouragement we can get if we want to conquer it.  I’m here to help you take control and advocate for your own mental health in an effective way that can change your life, just like it changed mine.  Can’t wait to hear from you!!
